Clover POS Integration
Connect AgentIzzy to your Clover POS to take phone orders, read your live menu, and send payment links — all hands-free.
Overview
AgentIzzy connects directly to your Clover POS system. When a customer calls, Izzy reads your live menu, takes their order conversationally, submits it to your Clover POS (it shows up like any other order), and texts the caller a payment link. No tablet tapping, no order errors, no missed calls during the rush.
The Clover POS integration is available on the Pro and Enterprise plans.
What Izzy can do with Clover
- Read your full menu in real time (categories, items, prices, modifiers)
- Check if you’re currently open using your Clover business hours
- Take orders conversationally — item by item with modifier selections
- Submit orders directly to your Clover POS (appears on your order screen)
- Send SMS payment links so callers can pay before pickup
- Create or match customer records by phone number
Setup
Step 1: Connect Clover
- Log into your AgentIzzy portal at portal.agentizzy.com
- Go to Settings > Integrations
- Find the Clover POS card and click Connect Clover
- You’ll be redirected to Clover to authorize AgentIzzy
- Select the merchant account you want to connect
- Approve the permissions and you’ll be redirected back
Step 2: Verify your menu
Once connected, Izzy will automatically pull your menu from Clover at the start of each call. Make sure your Clover menu is up to date — Izzy reads it in real time.
Step 3: Set your hours
Izzy checks your Clover business hours in real time. If your business is closed when someone calls, Izzy will let them know when you reopen and offer to take a message instead of an order.
How phone ordering works
- Caller dials your AgentIzzy number
- Izzy fetches your current menu and hours from Clover
- If you’re open, Izzy helps the caller browse the menu and build their order
- Izzy confirms the full order with a total
- The order is submitted to your Clover POS — it appears on your screen like any other order
- Izzy texts the caller a payment link so they can pay before pickup
- Caller shows up, order is ready
Modifiers and customizations
Izzy handles required and optional modifiers (size, toppings, sides, etc). If a menu item has required choices, Izzy will ask the caller to pick before moving on.
Payment options
- Pay now — Caller receives an SMS link to pay immediately (recommended)
- Pay at pickup — Caller pays when they arrive
Troubleshooting
Menu not showing up
- Make sure your items are not marked as hidden in Clover
- Items without prices won’t appear
- Changes to your Clover menu take effect on the next call (Izzy fetches fresh data each time)
Orders not appearing in Clover
- Check that your Clover connection is still active in Settings > Integrations
- Make sure your Clover account has the Orders permission enabled
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting
Business hours showing incorrectly
- Izzy reads hours directly from your Clover merchant settings
- Update your hours in the Clover dashboard, not in AgentIzzy
Payment link not received
- The caller must have a valid phone number (Izzy uses the caller ID)
- Check that SMS is not blocked on the caller’s carrier
Disconnecting
To disconnect Clover, go to Settings > Integrations and click Disconnect on the Clover card. Izzy will stop taking orders and revert to standard call handling.
