Voice & Language
Choose Izzy's voice, enable bilingual support, and customize the agent's personality.
Voice selection
Izzy doesn’t have to sound like “Izzy.” You can choose from several voice options to match your brand’s personality.
Go to Settings → Voice & Tone:

| Izzy | Warm and friendly — the default, great for most businesses |
| Rachel | Professional and polished — good for property management, legal, medical |
| James | Confident and direct — suited for trades, construction, automotive |
Note: Voice selection is available on the Pro plan and above. Starter plan customers use the default Izzy voice.
Agent name
You can change what the agent calls itself. By default it says “this is Izzy,” but you can rename it to anything — “Alex,” “Sam,” “Jordan,” or even your business name.
Go to Settings → Voice & Tone → Agent Name and type the name you want.
Bilingual support (English & Spanish)
Izzy can automatically detect when a caller speaks Spanish and switch languages mid-conversation. No configuration needed on the caller’s side — they just speak naturally.
To enable bilingual support:
- Go to Settings → Voice & Tone
- Toggle Bilingual (English/Spanish) on
When enabled:
- Izzy listens for Spanish speech cues
- Automatically switches to Spanish for both speech recognition and responses
- Handles mixed-language conversations naturally
- Your greeting plays in the language you wrote it in, then Izzy adapts
Tip: If you serve a largely Spanish-speaking community, consider writing your greeting in both languages.
Background noise
For a more natural phone experience, you can add subtle ambient sounds to Izzy’s side of the call.
Go to Settings → Voice & Tone → Background Noise:

| Office | Subtle office ambiance — keyboard clicks, distant chatter |
| Cafe | Light coffee shop background — creates a warm, casual feel |
This is a subtle touch, but it can make the call feel less robotic and more like speaking to a real person at a desk.
